Beef Arroz Ala Cubana

The dish consists of rice, beef, onions, garlic, potatoes, and carrots, served with fried eggs and fried plantain.

  1. In a pan, heat oil, sauté garlic and onion for 2 minutes. Add the ground beef, sauté until brown in color and the water has dried out.
  2. Add the dissolved Mama Sita’s Caldereta Mix and the rest of the ingredients except green peas, cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the vegetables are done.
  3. Add the green peas, cover and continue cooking for another 3 minutes or until the peas are done.
  4. Serve 1 cup (140g) sautéed beef with cupful of cooked rice in a serving platter and fried bananas. Topped with fried egg on top.
